Brian Whitt + PV Takeover + Day 3

PhotoVision Team

@brianwhitt Takeover Day 3: I just love the joy this mama feels for her baby in this moment. I am constantly pushing myself to capture more authentic moments. Never be afraid to respectfully take charge of a shoot. I often, if not always, pick locations for my clients and often help them pick their outfits. After all, they are counting on ME to deliver my best, and so am I. It is OK to take charge in a heartfelt and confident manner and simply explain why you’ve selected a particular location. However, I will always ask where my clients feel their best—open spaces or closed spaces. As I have learned from @ginnyau’s styling course, this will help put clients more at ease. Believe in yourself no matter what! You are worth it. You have a skill and a talent and a commitment as a photographer to deliver powerful and meaningful images to clients.

@brianwhitt Takeover Day 3: “Vulnerability is about sharing our feelings and our experiences with people who have earned the right to hear them.” — Brené Brown

Be bold. Share your talents with the world and always deliver your best work! You will soon find yourself surrounded by creatives who continuously inspire you and encourage you to execute your vision. I loved collaborating on this bridal editorial shoot with @elizabethdye titled #projectpirateship. The concept was born from Elizabeth’s creative vision, inspired by a ‘90s music video and a shipwreck, that took place off the Oregon coast. Here, our bride is longing to see her groom as she waits on shore for his return. (Spoiler alert! He doesn’t make it, so the shoot takes a moody, but beautiful turn.) This project was such a blast and it’s always a pleasure to try something new creatively with great friends.

@brianwhitt Takeover Day 3: No matter what, always be yourself when working with other people, and don’t be afraid to have a little fun! From time-to-time, I feel like I need to constantly direct my subjects, but I have to remind myself this isn’t the case. I want my clients’ photos to be unique to them, to be a true documentation of their personal relationship—not what *I* think they should be or how they should look. I’ve found that when I give my subjects broad, sweeping directions, the outcome is much more genuine. When the moment and the couple are right, I can say, “Hey, whisper something weird in his ear!” And that’s when we get an interaction like this . . . one of pure joy.

@brianwhitt Takeover Day 3: A huge thanks to PhotoVision for allowing me to take over their Instagram for a couple days. There is absolutely no way I could do this work without them. They are such a highly-capable, responsive and genuine group of people. I feel so grateful that they process my film. Their work is second to none!

It has been such a pleasure sharing some of my vulnerabilities as a creative and how to inspire your couples to be more vulnerable. We are all on this journey together. May we continue to support and encourage one another along the way. Keep up the great work, everyone! And please, feel free to drop me a line at, I am here to help! 🙂

Kristen Kilpatrick + PV Takeover + Day 3

PhotoVision Team

@kilpat Takeover Day 3: I'm a sucker for minimal color tones and composition. This was taken in San Antonio, Texas during a traditional charreada, events known for their high-speed horsemanship and tribute to Spanish culture. There are rarely still moments. I was on the arena floor and had this rider lined up for the perfect picture. I snapped it and could visualize the end result right then and there. When my scans came in from PhotoVision, they surpassed the mental image I had prior to seeing the real image!

#kristensvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #sanantonio #texas #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

@kilpat Takeover Day 3: Tablescapes are something I love to capture, because there are so many detailed elements that make each setting uniquely captivating. The challenge is to successfully pull together each of these elements into one composition, which at times can feel overwhelming. Something that has helped me achieve these shots, is to first look at the eye flow of your frame. Pick out the detail you want to emphasize. I love to use sweeping greenery or florals to achieve a whimsical feel! And I love a still shot that demonstrates movement and a clear direction for your eye to follow. These Fall colors also help pull my eye right in! 🙂

#kristensvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra800 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @thenouveauromantics @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

@kilpat Takeover Day 3: Wherever you are, take a picture that can tell a story. Naturally, that story will vary with each artist—which is what draws us in. Here, I wanted to tell the story of this bride and really capsize on the importance of this location and what it means to her. She chose to get married on her family ranch in South Texas, so I wanted to incorporate the lush greens of the environment and let the ranch tones completely frame the bridesmaids. We were crammed for time and portraits were scheduled at 1:00 p.m., which meant lighting conditions were not ideal. I found a gorgeous shady area that was accessible to all the bridesmaids and had my assistant hold a light reflector to block out some of the harsh sunlight. The background colors worked in complete unison with the floral arrangements, which helped tie all the elements together so nicely.

#kristensvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #texas #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @thenouveauromantics @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

@kilpat Takeover Day 3: Never be afraid to chase after something that might seem unobtainable at the time. Take every opportunity that presents itself to reach your dreams. If you have an idea for a shoot, then just do it, and don't let your mind talk you out of it, because chances are you will surprise yourself. Always immerse yourself in the creative world and feed your passions. I have found that my work flourishes when I am seeking inspiration—I become determined and less doubtful. Take the time to evaluate your work and critique your compositions. Over time, this will give you a stronger eye and an appreciation for the colorful world that surrounds you.

Kristen Kilpatrick + PV Takeover + Day 2

PhotoVision Team

@kilpat Takeover Day 2: Terrence Malick is a filmmaker who sources much of his inspiration from his surroundings and nature. I always use his movie To the Wonder to give me a creative punch. The way light is incorporated into every scene is absolutely breathtaking. This shot was taken during a styled shoot as we searched for the perfect nook to host this Claire Pettibone gown. After numerous attempts, nothing was satisfying to my eye, so I drove out to some tall grass in front of the venue and placed the dress in the field. The delicate details of the gown were brought to life there.

@kilpat Takeover Day 2: I love processional shots! I think this is the most raw form of emotion that can be captured on a wedding day. The mood always starts out with smiles as ring bearers make their way down the aisle, and shifts to happy tears when the crowd sees the bride. Although I do try to be a fly on the wall during a ceremony, I am front and center in the aisle for these major moments. Don't ever let the sea of people intimidate you and stop you from what you were hired to capture!

#kristensvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #fuji400h #photovisionprints #sp3000 #fujifilm #drippingsprings #texas @thenouveauromantics @fujifilm_northamerica

@kilpat Takeover Day 2: Travel as often as possible! Traveling will not only enhance your understanding of the world around you but will inspire your creative process more than you could imagine. Take pictures often on your travels, as you will carry these memories with you forever. This shot was taken in Capri and I couldn't help but fall in love with this peaceful scene—symmetry, color and the Mediterranean.

Jo Photo + PV Takeover + Day 2

Stephen Wood

@jophotos Takeover Day 2 “Wind.” Thanks for joining us for another day of our #pvtakeover! We're kicking off day 2 with these lovely bouquets and ribbons flowing in the wind. This shot was from the windiest wedding we've ever photographed! Tennessee is not known for its wind, but this day was an exception. In this shot, we used the wind to our advantage to show movement with the ribbons. But, if you don't have a gust of wind in your back pocket, you can easily create it yourself using a reflector! Joe and I do this often, where one of us creates a breeze with a reflector, while the other takes the shot. For this reason, we prefer stiff reflectors. They’re simple to make yourself, and cost less than $20! We just purchase white foam core from our local art supply store, cut it to the size we want and gaff tape the edges so it doesn't fray. They work even better if it's a hot day—as a makeshift fan, the bridesmaids welcome the breeze! (Side note—thanks to PhotoVision, this was an unedited scan!)

#kathleenandjoesvision #contax645 #fuji400h #pleasanthillvineyards #maryville #tennessee #photovisionprints #sp3000 #fujifilm @lisafosterdesign @fujifilm_northamerica

@jophotos Takeover Day 2 “Light Rays.” A few years ago, we were shooting an engagement session when behind the couple a man started mowing the grass and kicking up a lot of dust in the process! Joe saw how well the dust highlighted light rays coming through the trees, and he wanted to be able to recreate that look on the go for future shoots. And so, @atmosphereaerosol was born—an affordable, safe and convenient way to add haze or fog to your scenes. In this shot, we saw sunlight streaking across the ground, so we sprayed about 20 seconds of Atmosphere Aerosol behind the couple, and it captured the light beautifully on film! When you see sunlight streaking across the ground or rays coming through a window and dancing across the floor, it's a great time to make the most of our spray! Pro tip: If there is a breeze, spray upwind so it can drift into the shot.

@jophotos Takeover Day 2 “Motion Blur is OK.” We're rounding out day 2 of our #pvtakeover with one of our favorite shots from a recent wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! After hiking through the forest and climbing over rocks and fallen trees for their portraits, our ‘70s hippie-esque couple was briskly walking to their reception. It's so easy to miss the in-between moments as photographers when we're preparing ourselves for the next location, the next event, the next portrait. But if you can remind yourself to keep clicking, and keep watching, you can catch shots likes these.

Danielle Poff + PV Takeover + Day 3

Stephen Wood

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 3: This styled shoot was a vision I had for a while, so seeing it come to life was AMAZING! We did so many fun, unique decorations—like a macramé altar, a pool party wedding reception, a two-piece wedding dress and bright flowers. I love styled shoots for so many reasons! One, it allows you to connect with vendors. Making it in the wedding industry is part talent and part who you know! Vendors will be the ones suggesting you to their clients, posting your photos on social media and inviting you to wedding events, so it’s a good idea to connect with talented people. And secondly, styled shoots allow you shoot for yourself, instead of for a client. I know a lot of us get tired shooting the same type of wedding decor and the same type of wedding dresses, so at a styled shoot, I always make sure everything we do is unique and could serve as good inspiration for my future brides. I also use this time to try out new posing techniques, new lenses and new film stock. It's these type of shoots where you can really try new things and be bold!

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 3: In-between moments usually turn out to be my favorite photos. Always keep your camera up and ready when doing a bride and groom’s portraits, so much interaction is happening that a great moment could occur at any time between your planned shots.

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 3: I love helping my clients create their dream photoshoot, it always makes for better photos and happier clients. So when this couple said they wanted a lake engagement session on a boat, we made their vision a reality. I suggested Lake Del Valle in Livermore, California, along with a florist to decorate their boat. Communication is key to make sure what your clients envision is realistic, and it’s equally important to find vendors who can help bring their vision to life. Thank you for following along this week for my #pvtakeover! Some final words of advice to aspiring photographers: Hustle, hustle, hustle. Be nice to everyone, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. This will take you far and closer to your dreams!

Danielle Poff + PV Takeover + Day 2

Stephen Wood

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 2: I don’t like telling my clients what to do to make a photo happen. Instead, I start the situation and let it unfold naturally. I begin by putting my clients in good lighting, this is so important! A lot of talking and interacting comes next, allowing my clients to feel comfortable. In this situation, the girls were sitting on the bench reading their books. As my bride sat down with them, they showed her their books and began to relax. Once the little girls were comfortable, their mom took the books away, and the bride leaned in for a hug. I don't meddle, I let moments unfold naturally. I strive to photograph real, true moments—not fake, staged ones.

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 2: When photographing a scene, I want everything to make sense, so I style all detail shots with items I actually find at the venue. I hear of a lot of photographers making styling boards or styling kits, but that just isn't me. So much planning goes into every detail of a wedding, and as a bride, I wouldn't want random items in my photos. Instead, I prefer to walk around the venue and find items, ask the florist for flowers and ribbon, use the bride’s ring, etc.—this makes an image flow better, capturing the details as the bride created them.

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 2: The moments before a ceremony contain such strong emotions. Because of this, I always clear out a space for “getting ready” photos. Find the best light, whether that be inside or out, and move your bride into that space. Don't be afraid to educate your bride on the importance of good light or ask the bridesmaids for help cleaning up the room.

Danielle Poff + PV Takeover + Day 1

Stephen Wood

Hey, I'm @daniellepoffphoto, and I'm so excited to be doing a #pvtakeover for the next few days! I've been photographing weddings for 7 years now and transitioned to being a hybrid shooter almost 3 years ago. My husband used to be my second shooter, and he really wanted to start shooting film, so a few years ago we bought a Contax645. I decided I needed a change in my business, so I started shooting film and fell in love with it! I love how helpful PhotoVision has been and I so appreciate their amazing customer service. First up for me, is a recent favorite from a ceremony at Presqu'ile Winery in Santa Maria, California. Walking shots on film can be tough, especially when the bride and groom are walking straight at you, so I will usually follow them backward and keep my focus locked, with my aperture at f/2.8 on my Zeiss lens.

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 1: Portraits are my favorite thing about being a photographer, so an engagement session is my happy place. But I've learned over the years that people don't always know what photographs well, so educating your clients on a good color palette and talking over outfits is key! I always encourage my wedding couples to do an engagement session first as a good way for us all to get to know each other. Most of my communication is with the bride, so doing an engagement session gives me the opportunity to get to know the groom as well, and for him to feel comfortable around me before the big day. Plus, I really love connecting with my clients!

@daniellepoffphoto Takeover Day 1: I started teaching photography workshops 2 years ago. I learned I’d always loved helping my friends with their social media and teaching them to shoot film, so workshops were the next natural step for me. I love sharing my experiences and knowledge with other photographers, helping them to grow their business. Branding, social media, learning to find and see good light, how to build a successful business and client interaction are just a few of the topics we will cover at my next #daniellepoffworkshop, coming up on October 26 in Livermore, California! The overall goal of my workshop is for my attendees to walk away feeling more confident in themselves and having the tools they need to be successful. There are only a few spots left. When He Found Her + PV Takeover + Day 2

Stephen Wood

@whenhefoundher Takeover Day 2: First looks can be stressful as a photographer. You want these images to look natural, yet we always have to set them up and give instruction. I find it very helpful to remind my clients to stop and take in the moment before we start shooting. This usually helps my clients forget we are there and to naturally embrace each other and be present. This usually helps my clients forget I’m even there, allowing them to naturally embrace each other and to simply be present in the moment.

@whenhefoundher Takeover Day 2: This wedding was one of the most beautiful winter weddings I have had the pleasure of participating in. I was super pleased with this capture and how @photovisionprints scanned it. Unfortunately, the window was split into two horizontal panes, and the top of one pane went straight through the bride’s head. This is a rare example of when I had to do some heavy retouching in order to keep the image simple and clean; keeping the focus on the bride. Craft the image the best you can in camera. Always. But when you can’t, there’s Photoshop.

@whenhefoundher Takeover Day 2: As wedding photographers, our job can become incredibly repetitive. It’s so easy to slip into autopilot and shoot something we know our clients will love — but we might not be as proud of. One thing that has helped me from getting into creative ruts is to place myself in my client's shoes—take a few minutes to imagine all the emotions they might be feeling, and how you could translate those into unique captures. The image above is from an engagement session. I wanted to capture the anticipation of this new season of their lives . . . all the joy and freedom that comes with finding your soulmate.

Perry Vaile + PV Takeover

Stephen Wood

We are thrilled to welcome @perryvaile for the next four days as she takes over our feed! Perry is a fine art film photographer based in North Carolina with a heart for bold imagery and captivating locations. Go for it, Perry!  “. . . but my images don’t really look like theirs.” These are words that I’ve personally used to celebrate my singular artistic vision, and yet ironically, they are the same ones that I’ve used when I’m feeling my most vulnerable as a photographer. I happen to think though, that what really makes this community vibrant, impactful and staggeringly inspiring—are the outliers. I am absolutely thrilled and humbled (and perhaps slightly intimidated) to be taking over the PhotoVision Instagram this week, and I’ll be sharing some of my favorite images along with a bit about where my heart is throughout the process of capturing them.

@lindseyreganthorne @misshayleypaige @rrosecreative #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #photovisionprints #sp3000

In the epic battle of Kodak vs. Fuji, I’ve always stood strongly on the side of Portra, but it hasn’t been easy. I’ve been occasionally questioned by my peers, my husband (thanks for the support babe), and even once by a client who wanted me to shoot how she did, on Fuji. I’ve found through the struggle though, that it’s only made my understanding of both options stronger as I tried out every stock I could manage. It all led me ultimately to my final conclusion, that it’s the eye and approach of a photographer, rather than their metering or film stock, that makes the image.

@perryvaile @arhodesevents @carolhannahbridal @emcreativefloral @natalietaylorhumphrey @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

After shooting the wedding of Victoria’s Secret Supermodel @lindsellingson—I know, no pressure right?! ;)—I was given the perhaps more intimidating task of getting the completed images back to @bridesmagazine within 36 hours. Of course, this could be done on digital easily, but on film?! I called PhotoVision and spoke with Brian at length about HOW we could make this happen. How does film get from Savannah, GA to Portland to Salem on a SUNDAY and processed and scanned within 36 hours? Though it seemed highly improbable at first, within 24 hours of shooting, I had flown from the Southeast to the Northwest and found myself sitting at a dinner table with the Woods and McVeys as my film was processing. By Monday afternoon, the images were in my inbox and into the hands of my client and the magazine before deadline. I love telling this story, because it’s a testament to sticking to your guns as a photographer (digital wasn’t an option I would agree to) and most importantly, to the absolute kindness and dedication that this lab has for their customers. They made something big happen for me, without expecting anything in return, and made a customer for life.

Have you ever shown up to a wedding, and felt “un-inspired”? After all, you don’t always have a stunning redhead in a vintage-inspired gown standing in the middle of church ruins. Life gets REAL, and real brides can have normal shoes, with normal florals and normal dresses. What happens then? Perspective. Take a quick moment to check back in with what matters. Serving your clients. See the beauty in WHO you’re capturing—not what—and embrace (with everything you have) the task you have in front of you, because your role is more important than the details.

Burnout can be another vacuum of our inspiration as creatives. One thing I’ve found that helps renew my excitement and keeps me motivated is to balance my season of long days with shorter, elopement-style weddings. My heart always connects with these couples, and they often allow more emphasis for portraits with significantly less stress or time investment. If you struggle with being over-worked, try taking on shorter days that you can be really, really excited about. Not only will it keep you motivated throughout the year, but it’ll allow you to serve everyone with a happier heart.

@perryvaile @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra800 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

Not only am I a big believer in keeping a constantly-renewed creative soul, but in finding a healthy work/life balance. One thing I love to do to prepare for the next week (or two), is check the PhotoVision website to get an idea of their estimated process/scan times (FYI—right now it is TWO DAYS!!). Typically, I’m able to determine the exact day my film images will be delivered to me, and this allows me to plan my week around it, trade baby-watching days with my husband, schedule shoots and set meetings with enough time to return my client’s images within 24-48 hours of receiving them back from PV!

@perryvaile @makeupforyourday @bhldn @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra800 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

On days where I feel like I might be just running through the motions of a portrait, and I really want to create something fresh, I’ve found that trying to photograph the same image in 10 completely different ways (without changing the pose) is an amazing exercise that pulls way more out of me than I might have otherwise pursued. Try it for yourself. You might find that the first few frames are easy (typically, shots that are wide, tight, of hands or blowing hair) but it’s the 5th, 6th and 7th shots that really make you think outside of the box, and the final 3 that push you into completely new approaches that might just be your best, most creative work yet.

@perryvaile @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra800 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

One of my very favorite writers, Anne Lamott, once said that “almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” I’ve found it to be incredibly true, and also shockingly accurate, for the creative spirit. Taking a social media detox, sitting with friends in PERSON, watching the wind outside my window—things that, at first, seemed like they might take away from my business, have profoundly impacted its growth by releasing me to freely create without distraction.

@perryvaile @lindseyreganthorne @trumpetandhorn @misshayleypaige @rrosecreative @nuagedesignsinc @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra800 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

This my favorite “first look” image I’ve ever taken, and it was of a couple I’ve never met. I was on vacation hiking in Alberta and looked up to see a lone man standing in a nearby field, as a woman in a wedding gown walked up to him from a distance. I could have easily missed seeing them entirely if I’d not been soaking in the view around me. I only had 3 frames left on my camera, and timed them to capture her approach, his reaction and their embrace. I continue to keep the image up in my office as a reminder that beauty is right in front of us, if only we pay attention.

@perryvaile @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm #perrysvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm

The more unique your images are in the sea of other fine art photographers, the better. Don’t worry if your heart is pulled into a direction other than “the norm.” You wanna shoot Shetland ponies on the coast of Ireland? Get it, girl. You think maybe Ektar film might be your jam? Hey, boy hey. Find what makes your work yours alone—be it location, posing, subject, shooting style, whatever that may be—and don’t apologize for it. Pretty soon, clients will be showing up for their Ektar-infused Shetland Pony Portrait Session, and you’ll be completely irreplaceable.

It’s hella easy to get so inspired, so wrapped up in own worlds as creatives, that we begin to define ourselves by what we MAKE. If there’s one bit of advice I feel most compelled to share (and remind myself of constantly) it’s that our most important roles, and nearly the entirety of our true worth, is in who we are to each other as spouses, parents, friends and encouragers. You are so much more than a photographer. Realizing this is the first step in making your business work for you, instead of the other way around.

Well, we finally made it! I’m at the end of my PV Takeover and it’s my hope that beyond simply providing tips and tricks, I’ve helped to  encourage you to celebrate the beauty in having a unique voice and reinvigorated you to have the strength it takes to stay the course. The Wood family at PhotoVision has been invaluable to me in my own journey on this path, and I’m forever grateful for them and the dedicated team at PhotoVision. If any photographer is interested in coaching, please join me in a one-on-one session I’m offering through @theschoolofstyling, or attend their full Creative Online Academy!

Katie Grant + PV Takeover

Stephen Wood

Hello! @katiegrantphoto here for a very exciting takeover . . . Over the next few days, I can’t wait to share some of my favourite images and some advice for fellow film shooters (& beginners). First up—composition. I am constantly looking to frame my subjects using surrounding elements. I love how the canopy of branches perfectly creates an alcove for our bride in this image. #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @paigerylands @_ivyflowers_ @kaylamarshallweddinghair @ruedeseinebridal @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

Light is one of the most beautiful and captivating subjects, and it is never better than when captured on film rather than with pixels. A filmstrip absorbs light to create a soft, romantic and ethereal image, as seen here in this long exposure inside St. Peter's Church in Vienna, Austria. @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #vienna #austria #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

Don’t be afraid to get “intimate” with your subjects. Getting your camera in their personal space creates a sense of intimacy and warmth in the image and pulls the viewer in—thus creating a personal connection to the image. @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @kyliebbear @kaylamarshallweddinghair @jacquibradfield @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

Movement in an image can be very powerful, especially when it is solidly rooted with eye contact. The viewer is torn whether to follow the upward movement of her hand, the sweeping lines of her hair in the breeze, or return to center with her commanding gaze. All of these elements keep the viewer’s eye moving around your image and keep your audience engaged. @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra160 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @liesel_claire @ham_creative @gwendolynne @connie_whitlock @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

As fine art photographers, we sometimes forget to capture the “in-betweens.” I had just finished Samantha’s bridal portraits, and as I was putting down my camera, she went to gaze out over the balcony at her ceremony. The moment was so full of life and anticipation, nerves and beauty. Be truly present in every moment . . . this is a massive benefit of shooting film, you won’t miss those moments engrossed in your camera’s playback screen (since your film camera doesn’t have one). @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @verawanggang @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm

Lastly, let’s build on emotion. Whether it’s a portrait session, sporting event, travel photography or a wedding, there is always the opportunity to emotionally connect with an image. Here we feel the anticipation, the excitement and the pure joy of our bride arriving on her wedding day—something everyone can recognise and connect with. @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #fuji400h #photovisionprints #sp3000 #fujifilm @gwendolynne @jessgiles @kaylamarshallweddinghair @kristyogram @_ivyflowers_ @fujifilm_northamerica

Thanks for following along! I couldn’t resist sharing one last image because . . . well, this bokeh! Whilst you can capture bokeh with many different cameras, I feel the Zeiss glass on a Contax provides unrivalled results, as seen here. @katiegrantphoto #katiesvision #pvtakeover #contax645 #portra400 #photovisionprints #sp3000 #kodakfilm @watterswtoo @kodak_photo @kodakprofilm
