Sun-drenched beauty got us ready for summer! π Photo by @oliviabidleman. "This is my first batch of film scans from PhotoVision. I was shooting a simple, relaxed bridal editorial with @annapetersphoto in Seattle on the Summer Solstice of 2015 when she let me borrow her #Contax645 for a roll. She showed me how to meter properly and warned me against shooting into the sun, but I still did anyway. (I love it when my images are a little sun-drenched.) The exposed film sat in the drawer of my desk for more than a year when I finally had it developed. I tossed it in the box on a whim, because I was so doubtful. Had I ruined the images by letting them sit for this long without being developed? Oh well, off it goes. The images that came back from this series blew me away! It's safe to say I'm hooked on shooting #film. Always be a light seeker. Put your heart, humanity and a little poetry into everything you create. Create with intention. As a digital shooter, I can't help but fall in love with the way the highlights in this image have stuck around despite me shooting into the sun. I once read that film tends to soak up the light in an image, which leads to the highlights not being blown out. Now *that* I can get used to!" β Olivia Carson
