Tripod + #calligraphy FTW! 💎💙💎 Photo by @sarahakcarpenter. "A few years ago, I drove down to Portland on the darkest day imaginable to meet the lovely @jenny_sanders_ and to shoot her in her studio for a small project. It was such a fun experience to step back and get to see her at work, creating beautiful art and going through a typical business day. . . . Don’t be afraid to use a #tripod! This day was so horribly dark and rainy that there was no option of shooting in good light. Jenny’s studio has a gorgeous window in it, but it wasn’t enough. I had brought Portra800 and Delta3200 with me to the shoot, but still I was shooting at such low shutter speeds, even right by the window. That morning, before I left for Portland, I had a hunch that maybe it would be a good day to take my tripod with me, and I am so glad I did. I pretty much ended up shooting the entire thing on my tripod, and I love the way the images came out. It allowed me to keep shooting even after my shutter speed had dipped below 1/30th and even 1/15th without worrying about blur!" — Sarah Carpenter
